On the eve of Deepavali, LTCA is back with a blast this fall. Guess what…It is VASANTHAM. Just before the echoes of the firecrackers die off we are coming with an event that is all set to prolong the fireworks…A medley of music, dance, drama and of course the ubiquitous option of mouth watering food is awaiting you… ;)

And the preparation for what we hope will be mega event is beginning to catch heat with the usual rehearsals and practices. What has been more eye catching this time around is the manner in which the new comers have been willing to interact with the existing members and are forthcoming with new ideas for the event. So ladies and gentlemen (peiyorgalle, thaaimaargale….siruvargalle…), let us all combine together to make the festival of lights this year all the more brighter this year…

கலாட்டா கவிதை போட்டி - பரிசு பெற்ற பதிவுகள்

LTCA 'கலாட்டா'-வின் கவிதைப் போட்டியில் இரண்டு கவிதைகள் பரிசு பெற்றன. கவிதைக்கு மூன்று தலைப்புக்கள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன: தேடல், நாளை, மழை. மூன்று தலைப்புக்களிலும் நிறைய பதிவுகள் வந்தன. மூன்று நடுவர்கள் பரிசுபெறும் பதிவுகளை தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார்கள். திரு. ராமசந்திரன் மற்றும் செள. ப்ரியா அவர்களும் பரிசு பெற்றார்கள். இதோ அந்த கவிதைகள்:

ப்ரியா வெங்கடக்ருஷ்ணன் அவர்களின் கவிதை:

தேடல் - என் தேடல்

உத்தமராய் தோல்போர்த்தி ஊடுருவும் மக்களிடையே
மத்திமராய் தானுள்ளேன் என்வெண்ணும் செழுஞ்சுடரே!
அதமயாய் வாழ்மனிதரை அன்னம்போல் விலக்கியே,
உள்ளுணர்வோ, உன்னைத்தேடி எனக்கிங்கு காட்டியதே!!

ப்ரம்மனாய் நல்லெண்ணங்கள் பிறரிடத்தே உருவாக்கி,
திருமாலாய் நற்பண்புடனே பிறர்பொருளைக் காப்பாற்றி,
சிவபிரானாய் தீயவற்றை அழிப்பவன் எவனென்றால்,
பகுத்தறிவோ, உன்னைத்தேடி எனக்கிங்கு காட்டியதே!!

இயலாய் நம்விழிகள் மொழிந்து உறவாட,
இசையாய் நம் எண்ணமோ சேர்ந்தே இழைந்தாட,
நாடகமாய் நம் ஊடல்களோ அன்பினையே வெளிப்படுத்த,
நினைவுகளோ, உன்னைத்தேடி எனக்கிங்கு காட்டியதே!!

உடலிலே சிலகாலம் நம்காதலை உரைவித்து,
பொருளினை ஈட்டியே, அவ்வின்பங்களை உயிரோடு
உயிராய் சேர்ந்துமகிழ்ந்து, பின்னே, மெய் ஞானம்காகைகண்ட
கனவுகளோ, உன்னைத்தேடி எனக்கிங்கு காட்டியதே!

மழை

நதியினில் நனைந்தாய் சுடும் வெயிலினில் வெந்தாய்
காற்றினில் கரைந்தாய் கடும் குளிரினில் உறைந்தாய்
புவியினுள் மறைந்தாய் எனின் கவியினுள் மிளிர்ந்தாய்
வயலாகி வளர்த்தாய் ஏனோ புயலாகி அழித்தாய்

பள்ளங்கள் நிறைத்தாய் மேடுகள் மறைத்தாய்
குறைகள் நீக்கினாய் கரைகள் உடைத்தாய்
உணவாகி உயிர்ப்பித்தாய் உலக நியதி பயிர்ப்பித்தாய்
துளியாக துளிர்த்தாய் உலகை உளியாக செதுக்கினாய்

இறவா நிலை கொண்டு இருக்கும் மழையே
அறவோடுன் தாயகம் அழித்தெம் பிழையே
பிறவாது பொய்த்து நீ இருந்த போது
கறவாத பசு என ஏனோ வருந்தினோம்

ஆடலிலும் பாடலிலும் இடம் பெற்றாய் நேற்று
தேடலில் மட்டுமே தடம் பதிப்பாயோ நாளை?

We just thought it would be a "cool" idea to have a blog for LTCA. We hope that this will be a forum for all of you to express your ideas/opinions on issues related to LTCA/Tamizh! Please do e-mail your articles to one of the LTCA committee members for consideration. It is also our hope that this blog will be a sounding board for all exciting future events. இனிய தமிழில் ஒரு சில வார்த்தைகள். தமிழ்நாட்டில் புத்தாண்டின் போது, நல்வாழ்த்துக்களோடு விதம் விதமான அட்டை நாளேடுகளும் பரிமாறிக் கொள்வது வழக்கம். எந்த காரியத்தை எடுத்தாலும் 'நாளும் கோளும்' பார்த்து செய்வதுதான் தமிழர் பண்பாடு! அண்மையில், இணையதளத்திலும் நம்ம ஊர் 'authentic' நாளேடு இருப்பதை கண்டு கொண்டோம்...:) இதோ உங்களுக்காக இதோ.
